Double Cross

  • Underrated

“i have to say after looking at forums before and after [getting] my doublecross i can say that this frame is very underrated and too often made into a calm commuting build. IT'S A BEAST. ive never been more pleased with a ride. it feels at home on pavment as well as dirt.this baby hits the rails on corners and is AMAZING at high speeds”

  • “Ripping down gravel hills at 25+ mph she's as quiet as a mouse. the same 105 group that I have on my aluminium framed cross bike is on the DC and it works flawlessly whereas it rattles itself out of adjustment on my other bike. I like to ride with 'no hands' and this bike has the stability that I have craved since the old Raleigh days. ”

  • Unsolicited Soma Double Cross Review

“Just returned from Italy, and the first trip for my S&S coupled Double Cross. While I have a Carbon Madone, if I had a choice of one bike, it would be the Double Cross...solid handling, great ride. Thanks to SOMA, to Jeremy at Sycip for fitting the couplers, and to West County Revolution in Sebastopol for the build-up (Dura Ace, compact crank 12x27, Mavic Ksyrium, 25c conti gators).

This is atop Passo Gardena in the Dolomites.”

  • Double Cross Reviewed in Bicycling: Oct. 2010

After taking it out for many rides, I began to think of the Double Cross as the Swiss Army knife of bikes: fun, remarkably useful and pretty sharp, too. For links to the print and video review go here
